内容简介:

With the integration of distributed energy resources (DERs) and energy storage units in the grid, most inverters are operated under the grid-following type and controlled as a current source. High penetration of renewables such as PV inverters in the power system results in weakening the grid during grid faults. The inverter may disconnect from the grid and the grid reliability reduces significantly. To ensure reliable operation with DER integration in the grid, there are standards and grid codes to comply with. For instance, IEEE Std. 1547-2018 is applied to help maintain the grid voltage and frequency when DERs are integrated in the grid. This talk introduces an implementation of a grid-support function for controlling the inverter reactive current to provide voltage ride-through (VRT) of a grid-tied inverter-based microgrid while mitigating the inverter output current harmonics by combining the quasi-proportional resonant control and a feedforward function in the inverter controller, even if the grid voltage is distorted. By using PV and battery inverters, the microgrid VRT function is realized. The performance of the proposed method is validated by a real-time simulator with a hardware setup. Test results show that the microgrid can well perform VRT function while maintaining the sinusoidal inverter output current.
